Kernel-log disclosure via missing capability enforcement
Published May 3, 2022 · Updated Apr 21, 2025
Information disclosure in Google Zircon before 4.1.1 allows local users to read the kernel log through exposed Zircon addresses. The kernel-log access path exposes kernel addresses without enforcing the required ZX_RSRC_KIND_ROOT capability, although Google has not identified the responsible function. Local low-privileged code is required, and the documented consequence is limited to reading kernel-log information.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
