Credential replacement via unverified password change

Improper password-change protection in McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator before 5.10 Update 13 allows remote attackers to reset a session user’s password. The deprecated password-change API accepts a new password for the session user without verifying the existing password and remained callable after its user-interface removal. Exploitation requires control of a logged-in session or a logged-in user who follows an attacker-supplied link; the consequence is replacement of that account’s credentials.
