CVE-2022-0839Public exploitNetwork attack vector

File disclosure and SSRF via external entities

Published Mar 4, 2022 · Updated Nov 3, 2025

XXE in Liquibase XMLChangeLogSAXParser before 4.8.0 allows context-dependent attackers to read local files or trigger outbound requests. The parser leaves secure XML processing disabled and resolves SYSTEM entities declared in a changelog DTD into changeset content. Exploitation requires control of a changelog or a referenced remote entity, and access is limited to files and network resources reachable by the Liquibase process.
