CVE-2022-0838Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Browser script execution via unsafe HTML rendering

Published Mar 4, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Reflected XSS in Hestia Control Panel before 1.5.10 allows remote attackers to execute script in a panel user's browser. Multiple control-panel JavaScript handlers pass user-controlled domain, folder, database, DNS, and mail values to jQuery html(), causing browsers to parse those values as markup. Exploitation requires a panel user to load a crafted value in an affected add or edit view; resulting script runs with that user's web-session privileges.
