Customer booking tampering via missing ownership check
Published Apr 4, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Incorrect authorization in Melograno Venture Studio Amelia before 1.0.49 allows remote authenticated users to alter bookings and read customer data. The appointment-status AJAX handler accepts a customer-supplied appointment identifier without verifying that the booking belongs to that account, and its response exposes the other customer's full name and phone number. A WordPress customer account, an Amelia dashboard nonce, and a valid target appointment identifier are required; successful requests can change another customer's booking status and disclose its contact details.
