Unauthenticated SQL injection via unsanitized cause ID
Published Apr 25, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
SQL injection in Nicdark Donations 1.8 and earlier allows remote attackers to manipulate database queries through a public AJAX request. The AJAX handler places the attacker-controlled nd_donations_id parameter into an SQL statement without sanitization or escaping. Any remote visitor who can load a published Cause page can obtain the nonce and confirm database-query manipulation through response delays.
