Unauthenticated SSRF via unvalidated video URL
Published Feb 28, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
SSRF in Rudloff AllTube Download before 3.0.2 allows remote attackers to send server-side requests to internal hostnames. Request controllers pass the unvalidated url query parameter to youtube-dl, whose generic extractor follows attacker-controlled URLs and redirects. No authentication is required, and exploitation can reach internal network resources; redirect handling also remains exposed when an external unpatched youtube-dl installation is used.
