Stored script execution via unsanitized directory name
Published Feb 26, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored XSS in Microweber before 1.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in an administrator's browser. The create_media_dir method uses the request's name value for a media-directory path without first applying HTMLClean to the request array. An authenticated administrator must create the crafted directory and another administrator must view the affected admin page, where the stored markup executes with that viewer's session.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
