CVE-2022-0743Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Stored script execution via decimal entity bypass

Published Feb 28, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Stored XSS in GetGrav Grav before 1.7.31 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser through crafted page input. The Security::detectXss routine normalized semicolonless decimal entities only when the digits began with zero, so other numeric entity encodings bypassed decoding and sanitization before storage. The payload executes when another user views the stored content, allowing script-level access to data and actions available in that browser session.
