CVE-2022-0730Network attack vector

Unauthenticated account access via empty LDAP password

Published Mar 3, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Authentication bypass in Cacti 1.2.19 allows remote attackers to access the web application through an LDAP login with an empty password. The Authenticate method in lib/ldap.php passed the empty decoded password to ldap_bind, allowing an LDAP server configured for anonymous binding to report success. Exploitation requires LDAP authentication and anonymous binding; the resulting session receives the mapped Cacti user's privileges.
