CVE-2022-0724Network attack vector

Uploader location disclosure via retained image EXIF

Published Feb 23, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Information disclosure in Microweber before 1.3 allows remote authenticated users to obtain image uploaders' EXIF metadata. The image-upload path in src/MicroweberPackages/App/functions/plupload.php fails to remove metadata reliably before storing uploaded images. Access requires an account able to upload an image, and exposed fields can reveal an uploader's location, device hardware, and device software.
