CVE-2022-0688Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Cart-item deletion via unscoped object identifier

Published Feb 20, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

An insecure direct object reference in Microweber before 1.2.11 allows remote authenticated users to remove items from another user's cart. CartManager::remove_item accepted a caller-supplied cart item ID, while administrator requests omitted the session_id constraint that bound deletion to the caller's cart. Administrator privileges are required; exploitation changes another shopper's stored cart contents without reading data or disrupting the service.
