CVE-2022-0677Network attack vector

Service interruption via inconsistent length handling

Published Apr 7, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Length-parameter inconsistency in Bitdefender Update Server before 3.4.0.276 allows remote attackers to interrupt the service. The component parses network data without correctly reconciling a declared length with the actual data length; Bitdefender has not disclosed the parser, message format, or failure operation. No authentication or user interaction is required, and affected releases include GravityZone before 26.4-1 and relay-role Endpoint Security Tools for Linux before 6.2.21.171 and Windows before 7.4.1.111; only service interruption is reported.
