CVE-2022-0671Network attack vector

Blind SSRF and editor hang via schema downloads

Published Feb 18, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

SSRF and resource exhaustion in Red Hat XML Language Support before 0.19.0 allow attackers to issue requests or hang the editor. LemMinX follows attacker-controlled schema resource URLs and downloads their content without sufficient redirect, protocol, or size controls. The XML document must trigger schema resolution; external resource downloads are enabled by default, exposing internal request reachability and editor availability.
