Stored XSS via unescaped custom button text
Published Jun 20, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored XSS in Print, PDF & Email by PrintFriendly before 5.2.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in visitors' browsers. The Custom Button Text setting stores administrator-supplied markup without sanitization or output escaping and renders it on settings and front-end pages. Administrator privileges are required, and execution occurs when an administrator or site visitor loads an affected page, permitting actions within that visitor's browser context.
