Stored script execution via unescaped advert names
Published May 2, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in AJdG Solutions AdRotate Banner Manager before 5.8.23 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary script. The advert editor stores the Advert Name without sanitizing it, and the Manage Adverts page renders that value without output escaping. A high-privilege account must create or edit the advert, and execution occurs when a privileged user opens the management page.
