Cookie disclosure via cross-domain header forwarding
Published Feb 22, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Sensitive information exposure in requestretry before 7.0.0 allows remote attackers to obtain cookies through crafted redirect URLs. The Request constructor forwards Cookie and Authorization headers unchanged when a request URL contains an external-domain query target, allowing those credentials to reach that site. Exploitation requires a consuming application to pass an attacker-influenced URL together with sensitive headers; disclosure is limited to those forwarded credentials.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
