Reflected XSS via unsafe javascript URL handling
Published Feb 24, 2022 · Updated Jan 31, 2025
Reflected XSS in Cozmoslabs Profile Builder 3.6.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to run scripts through a crafted site_url link. The fallback-page.php endpoint HTML-escapes site_url into an href but fails to reject the javascript scheme, leaving the browser to execute it. No account is required, but a victim must open the crafted page and click its link; the script then runs in the vulnerable site's browser origin with the victim's session.
