Stored XSS via unchecked admin-page POST
Published May 30, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored XSS in JivoChat Live Chat before 1.3.5.4 allows remote attackers to inject JavaScript by luring a logged-in administrator. The admin.php?page=jivosite.php POST handler accepts languageList without checking a CSRF token or sanitizing its attribute-breaking value before rendering the Go to Web Application control. Exploitation requires an administrator’s authenticated browser to submit the crafted form and activate that control, which executes attacker-supplied script in the site’s administrative origin.
