Out-of-bounds read in mruby before 3.2 allows local users to expose memory or crash an application through crafted Ruby code. In mrb_vm_exec, double-splat handling passes an operand to mrb_hash_set after only a debug assertion, so a non-Hash value reaches hash access without runtime type validation. Execution requires a user or embedding application to run attacker-controlled Ruby code; confidentiality and availability are affected, not integrity.
