CVE-2022-0628Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Reflected XSS via unsanitized nonce output

Published Mar 21, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

AP Mega Menu before 3.0.8 allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser through a reflected request. The admin page echoes the _wpnonce parameter without sanitizing or escaping it before HTML output, allowing injected markup or script to run in the page context. Exploitation requires an attacker to deliver a crafted URL and an authenticated administrator to request the vulnerable page; the documented impact is browser-side confidentiality and integrity loss rather than server execution.
