Script execution via unescaped tab parameter
Published Mar 28, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Reflected XSS in the dTabs WordPress plugin through 1.4 allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser. The plugin's admin page writes the tab query parameter into its HTML response without sanitizing or escaping the value. Exploitation requires an administrator to open a crafted link, after which injected script runs in the trusted site context and can read or modify browser-accessible data.
