Browser script execution via reflected match parameter
Published Mar 28, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Reflected XSS in Database Peek 1.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script in an authorized user's browser via a crafted URL. The match parameter on the ab-database-peek administrative page is returned into HTML without sanitization or output escaping. Exploitation requires a logged-in user permitted to access the plugin page to open the URL, and script execution remains within that user's browser context.
