Stored script execution via Angular-bound logo markup
Published Feb 16, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored XSS in LiveHelperChat Live Helper Chat before 3.93v allows remote authenticated users to execute script through logo settings. Two page-header logo templates render stored logo configuration inside an AngularJS-controlled region, so Angular evaluates injected expressions instead of treating them solely as data. A high-privilege account must store the payload; execution in a viewer's browser can read or alter data available to the affected interface.
