Reflected XSS via unescaped post parameter
Published Mar 14, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Reflected XSS in Adam Skaat Countdown & Clock before 2.2.9 allows remote attackers to run script in an administrator's browser. The plugin's administrative post-creation page inserts the HTTP post parameter into HTML without sanitization or context-appropriate escaping. A signed-in administrator must open a crafted request; the injected script then runs in the site's trusted origin and can act with that browser session.
