Open redirect via extra-slash validation bypass
Published Feb 15, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Open redirect in Microweber before 1.2.11 allows remote attackers to send users to an external site through a crafted URL. The /api/logout redirect_to handler accepts an attacker-controlled destination when an extra slash bypasses same-site validation. No account is required, but a victim must follow a crafted Microweber link; the resulting redirect can support phishing, with no service interruption reported.
