Published Mar 28, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored XSS in CodeDropz Drag and Drop Multiple File Upload for Contact Form 7 before 1.3.6.3 lets remote attackers run script via SVG uploads. The unauthenticated dnd_codedropz_upload AJAX action accepts an SVG disguised with an image MIME type and stores it under a web-accessible uploads path. Opening the uploaded file triggers its embedded JavaScript in the visitor's browser; no WordPress account is required to place the file.
