Authenticated supplier data exposure via missing view authorization
Published Feb 14, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Missing authorization in Snipe-IT before 5.3.9 allows remote authenticated users to read supplier records via the supplier view endpoint. SuppliersController::show retrieves a supplier without invoking the required view authorization gate, so a low-privilege account can access records outside its permissions. The request requires network access and authentication, and the demonstrated impact is confidentiality loss without reported integrity or availability effects.
