Authenticated script execution via encoded Phoromatic input
Published Feb 13, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Reflected XSS in Phoromatic in Phoronix Test Suite before 10.8.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via crafted input. The phoromatic_quit_if_invalid_input_found denylist omits HTML-encoded metacharacters, allowing encoded markup to pass its checks and be reflected in a page. A Phoromatic account and a victim who opens the crafted request are required; script executes in that victim's browser context.
