CVE-2022-0565Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated browser script execution via unsanitized SVG uploads

Published Feb 12, 2022 · Updated Nov 19, 2024

Cross-site scripting in Pimcore before 10.3.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through crafted SVG image uploads. The upload paths checked only filename extensions and a literal script substring before storing SVG content, while ordinary asset uploads received no sanitizer. A logged-in user with image or custom-logo upload access can place script-capable SVG markup in content rendered by another browser, exposing that browser's session data and page content.
