Unauthenticated action access via ignored namespace roles
Published Apr 20, 2022 · Updated Oct 24, 2024
Improper authentication in affected Jira and Jira Service Management releases allows remote attackers to access protected WebWork actions. Seraph fails to apply roles-required declared on a webwork1 namespace to child actions that omit their own declaration. Exploitation requires such an app action with no separate authorization check; the resulting access is bounded by that action.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=0 <8.13.18
- Affected versionversion=8.14.0 <8.20.6
