Stored XSS via unescaped website settings grid
Published Feb 8, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored XSS in Pimcore before 10.3.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another administrator's browser. The website-settings grid renderer inserts stored cell values into the administrative interface without HTML encoding; the fix applies Ext.util.Format.htmlEncode to every column. Exploitation requires permission to save a crafted setting and a second administrator to open the affected grid, exposing that user's Pimcore session and permitted actions.
