Unchecked return values in Red Hat libnbd before 1.11.8 allow remote attackers to corrupt destination images during nbdcopy operations. Multi-threaded completion callbacks treat failed asynchronous NBD reads or writes as successful, writing garbage or omitting destination data while returning success. Exploitation requires an NBD server to return an error during the default asynchronous copy mode; resulting images can silently lose integrity.
