CVE-2022-0476Public exploit

Process crash via unbounded minidump list iteration

Published Feb 23, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Denial of service in radareorg radare2 before 5.6.4 allows local users to crash the process by opening a crafted minidump file. The minidump parser trusts attacker-controlled entry counts and iterates module and memory-related lists without ensuring each computed offset remains within the input buffer. Opening the file is required; malformed counts drive parsing past the file boundary and terminate the local radare2 process.
