CVE-2022-0475Network attack vector

JavaScript execution via unneutralized translation strings

Published Mar 21, 2022 · Updated Sep 17, 2024

Stored XSS in OTRS 7.0.32 and earlier and 8.0.19 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in Package Manager. HTML-enabled translation strings accept injected JavaScript without neutralization and are later rendered by the Package Manager. Exploitation requires translation privileges and a Package Manager user to view the poisoned string, exposing that user's session data and actions.
