Recipient email disclosure via individual notifications
Published Feb 7, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Information exposure in OTRSCustomContactFields 8.0.0 through 8.0.11 allows remote authenticated users to expose recipients’ email addresses. The notification-email path places the full recipient list from a customer-user contact field into messages even when each recipient is selected for individual delivery. Administrator-level access and a notification event are required; recipients can then learn other customer users’ addresses, with no reported write or availability impact.
