Stored XSS via unsanitized dynamic-field error message
Published Feb 7, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in OTRS 7.0.31 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in an agent's browser. The dynamic-field regular-expression check renders an administrator-controlled error message in the agent interface without neutralizing script content. Administrative access is required to store the payload, and execution occurs when an agent uses the affected field in the interface.
