Authenticated file storage via unvalidated product images
Published Feb 4, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in jsdecena Laracom before 2.0.9 allows remote authenticated users to store dangerous files through product updates. The UpdateProductRequest rules omit validation for the image and cover fields, so product-update input reaches upload handling without file-type restrictions. Product-management access is required; the bounded consequence is attacker-controlled content stored through the web application, with no reported availability impact.
