Authenticated script execution via reflected post_types
Published Apr 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Reflected XSS in PickPlugins Post Grid before 2.1.16 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript via a crafted post_types value. The post_grid_update_taxonomies_terms_by_posttypes AJAX action returns post_types in its response without sanitizing or escaping it. Any authenticated WordPress account can reach the action; injected script runs in the response's browser context with that session's access.
