Settings reset via nonce-free reset-all action
Published Mar 7, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in devowl.io Real Cookie Banner before 2.14.2 allows remote attackers to reset plugin settings. The reset-all handler accepts the rcb-reset-all query parameter without validating a CSRF token and restores the plugin configuration to defaults. The attack requires a logged-in administrator's browser to request the crafted WordPress admin URL, and its bounded consequence is loss of configured consent settings.
