Path traversal in Grunt before 1.5.2 allows local users to read or overwrite files outside configured copy directories through symlinks. The file.copy operation follows attacker-controlled source or destination symlinks instead of containing the copy within the configured paths. Exploitation requires write access to a copy source or destination used by a more-privileged Grunt task, exposing or altering files accessible to that task.
