Session cookie disclosure via cross-host redirects
Published Mar 15, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Sensitive information exposure in HTTPie CLI before 3.1.0 allows remote attackers to obtain session cookies through redirects. The session cookie implementation discards each cookie's Domain attribute and shares all stored cookies across hosts during request processing. A user must invoke an affected client with a cookie-bearing session and follow a redirect to an attacker-controlled host, which receives cookies intended for another origin.
