Stored XSS via unauthenticated payment-status update
Published Nov 21, 2022 · Updated Apr 30, 2025
Stored XSS in Five Star Restaurant Reservations before 2.4.12 allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser. The unauthenticated rtb_stripe_pmt_succeed AJAX action accepts an arbitrary booking_id and stores an unescaped message when marking payment failed. A valid booking ID and an administrator viewing failed payments are required; attackers can alter payment status and run script in that session.
