Dangerous file upload via percent-encoded filename
Published Feb 19, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in ShowDoc before 2.10.2 allows remote authenticated users to store dangerous files through attachment endpoints. The attachment upload handlers use a filename substring blacklist that fails to reject percent characters, allowing an encoded dangerous extension to evade validation. Administrator-level access is required, and code execution follows when the web server processes a stored server-side file.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
