Arbitrary redirect creation via unchecked AJAX action
Published Apr 25, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Missing authorization in ThirstyAffiliates before 3.10.5 allows remote authenticated users to create arbitrary redirect links. The ta_process_quick_add_affiliate_link AJAX action accepts a destination URL and creates an affiliate link without authorization or CSRF checks. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and visitors who follow a malicious link are redirected to an attacker-chosen website.
