Stored XSS via Angular-parsed profile names
Published Jan 28, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored XSS in Live Helper Chat before 3.93 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in another user’s browser. The user_box.tpl.php template HTML-escapes stored name and surname values but leaves them subject to AngularJS expression evaluation. Reachability requires a crafted name or surname to be rendered in the AngularJS-enabled user box; the resulting script acts with the viewer’s session.
