Stored XSS via Angular-bound widget-theme name
Published Jan 28, 2022 · Updated Jun 9, 2025
Stored XSS in LiveHelperChat Live Helper Chat before 3.93 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via a widget-theme name. FAQ and questionnaire embed-code templates let AngularJS compile the stored name; the patch marks those template regions as non-bindable. A user must be able to create a widget theme, and another user must open an affected embed-code page; script runs in the viewer's browser context.
