Stored XSS via AngularJS interpolation in group names
Published Jan 27, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored XSS in LiveHelperChat Live Helper Chat before 3.93 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via department group names. Department group names are HTML-escaped but remain inside AngularJS-bound headings and forms, so Angular expressions in stored names are evaluated. Low-privileged network access to create or edit a group is required; execution occurs in a user’s browser when an affected view renders the name.
