Stored script execution via unescaped login username
Published Feb 28, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in Wataru Okamoto Crazy Bone 0.6.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser. The login handler stores an unsanitized username from a failed login, and the All User view writes that value into the Login Log dashboard without HTML escaping. No account is required to plant the payload, but an administrator must open the affected dashboard view for the script to run in that privileged session.
