CVE-2022-0375Network attack vector

Authenticated script execution via unescaped theme name

Published Jan 26, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Stored cross-site scripting in Live Helper Chat before 3.93v allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript via the admin theme Name field. The theme-name value is stored and later rendered in administrative pages without adequate output escaping, allowing script execution when an administrator views the affected theme. Exploitation requires authenticated administrative access and administrator interaction with the stored theme record; impact includes actions in that administrator’s session and access to data visible there.
